Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB). As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' health status and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide nursing care and support to patients, including medication administration and wound care
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Health, Assistance, and Nursing from a recognized school
  • Membership in l'Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers auxiliaires du Quebec
  • Two years' experience as an LPN, with experience in internal medicine, geriatrics, and pediatrics an asset
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Cree culture, language, and social/health issues in Eeyou Istchee
  • Fluency in English, with fluency in Cree and French an asset
