Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB). As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the care team to assess residents' health needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Provide nursing and wellness support, including administering medications, performing treatments, and assisting with daily living activities.
  • Work closely with nurses, beneficiary attendants, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Collect and document residents' health history, vital signs, and other relevant information.
  • Communicate effectively with the care team and residents' families to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Health, Assistance, and Nursing from a recognized school.
  • Fluency in English; fluency in Cree and French is an asset.
  • Good observation skills and self-control.
