Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Server to join our team at East Side Mario's Oakville. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Present menus and make recommendations to guests, taking into account their dietary preferences and restrictions.
    • Take orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Food and Beverage Service
    • Prepare and serve specialty food and beverages to guests, ensuring they are presented in a visually appealing manner.
    • Describe menu items, including daily specials, to guests and make recommendations based on their preferences.
    • Present bills to guests and process payments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Inventory Management
    • Order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware, ensuring that stock levels are adequate to meet guest demand.
    • Perform sensory evaluation of wines to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tables and guests simultaneously.
    • Stand for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed to perform duties.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • Will train.

Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 35 hours per week. The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
