POSITION SUMMARY

The Office of Development and Alumni Engagement at Memorial University is on the lookout for two seasoned fundraising experts to enhance our mission of supporting educational and research advancements. These roles are pivotal in fostering relationships with a diverse array of donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidates will be tasked with:

  • Overseeing a comprehensive portfolio of vital donor connections.
  • Implementing innovative fundraising strategies aligned with the university's objectives.
  • Maintaining and nurturing relationships with active donors while managing prospects with significant leadership potential.
  • Coaching and guiding Development staff in campaign fundraising and related administrative processes.
  • Developing and executing strategic plans for fundraising initiatives and specific campaigns.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to identify fundraising priorities and set achievable goals.
  • Designing and managing solicitation strategies for major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Preparing tailored proposals and campaign materials in partnership with communications teams.
  • Engaging with academic leaders to enhance fundraising efforts.
  • Identifying and motivating external volunteers to support fundraising initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in resource development, relationship management, or fundraising, preferably within the education or non-profit sectors.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, along with strong organizational capabilities.
  • The ability to navigate complex fundraising programs and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A proven track record in developing fundraising strategies and securing major gifts.
  • Experience in managing fundraising teams and familiarity with Memorial University would be advantageous.
  • A willingness to work flexible hours and travel as necessary.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $66,092 - $90,126 per annum, plus a market differential of $18,357.
