Role Overview: Information Service Delivery (ISD) Global Support Technician
The ISD Global Support Technician plays a crucial role in delivering support across various locations, assisting end users with a wide range of technical issues. This position involves identifying, researching, and resolving technical challenges, responding to escalated incidents, and managing requests for technical assistance via various communication channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair personal computing devices and mobile technology.
- Analyze user-related issues to determine the root cause and collaborate with relevant personnel for resolution.
- Engage in network monitoring, change coordination, and hardware/software upgrades.
- Support infrastructure and system enhancements, outages, and IT-related projects.
- Install and modify PCs, peripherals, telephony, and printing devices.
- Provide technical support for video conferencing equipment.
- Assist with Active Directory management and provide hands-on support for servers and network infrastructure.
- Oversee local IT asset inventory and manage stockroom operations.
- Participate in virus remediation and security incident responses as necessary.
- Develop and maintain standards, records, and procedures for hardware and software installations.
- Manage on-call and after-hours support for designated office locations as applicable.
- Order computer peripherals and process invoices through designated systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or a High School Diploma with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related IT field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in IT support.
- MCSE Certification is advantageous.
- Experience with remote control software applications is preferred.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems.
- Basic knowledge of network administration and configuration.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve issues using available tools.
