Job Title: Wine Server

We are seeking a skilled Wine Server to join the Hearthstone Inn Dartmouth team in a formal dining room setting. If you have excellent interpersonal skills and a client-focused attitude, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Previous experience in the hospitality industry is an asset

Responsibilities
  • Advise guests on wine selection and serve wine
  • Inspect dining rooms and serving areas to ensure a clean and welcoming environment
  • Address customer concerns and resolve issues in a professional manner
  • Answer questions about menu items and provide recommendations
  • Assist guests with special needs and provide exceptional customer service
  • Manage seating arrangements for large groups and ensure a smooth dining experience
  • Welcome and greet customers, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere
  • Perform opening and closing tasks, including setting up and cleaning the dining area
  • Manage reservations and table assignments to ensure efficient service
  • Process customer payments and handle transactions in a timely and accurate manner
Work Conditions
  • Standing for extended periods, requiring stamina and endurance
  • Working in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail and multitasking skills
Personal Qualifications
  • Client-focused attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Efficient communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask
