Position Overview

The Audiovisual Systems Specialist is tasked with the setup and management of fundamental audiovisual systems within a hospitality setting, ensuring optimal client satisfaction. This role reports to an Operations Manager or a Director of Event Technology.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Management

Guarantees a seamless event through precise and timely setup, operation, and dismantling of basic audiovisual equipment as outlined in the technical specifications.

Client Engagement

Aims to surpass the expectations and requirements of both internal and external clients. Cultivates a positive rapport with all clients through effective communication. Engages with guests on-site to ensure their needs are addressed and that the equipment setup is functioning correctly. Observes events and checks in with clients throughout the day. Comprehends and nurtures the hotel/client relationship.

Technical Proficiency

Possesses an understanding of the technical facets of the role and demonstrates basic operational skills to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and software issues. Addresses equipment challenges and modifications promptly and professionally.

Systems Understanding

Familiar with company protocols, adheres to procedures, and accurately completes systems entries and documentation. Utilizes equipment sheets to identify the equipment scheduled for setup and dismantling. Collaborates with other staff and external vendors for equipment. Enhances revenue through effective floor up-selling techniques. Works with clients to finalize billing. Completes order entries in the designated system as required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma is mandatory; an Associate's degree is preferred. A minimum of 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is desirable. At least 1 year of audiovisual experience or equivalent educational experience is preferred. A valid driver's license is necessary for team members who may operate company vehicles. Additional requirements may apply as necessary.
