Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Nilfisk Group. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our customers. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair commercial and industrial floor cleaning equipment in the field, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Complete all required reporting and documentation of service work performed, including time sheets and other reports as set forth by the Branch Supervisor.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that spare parts stock levels in the van are maintained at specified levels, ensuring prompt and efficient repair of equipment.
  • Training and Certification: Maintain all required training and certifications for the position, ensuring that you are up-to-date with the latest technical knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or 5 years of relevant experience and training.
  • Experience: 3 years of prior experience in a similar or related field.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and demonstrated levels of product knowledge and mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system troubleshooting skills.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Valid driver's license and DOT certification.
Working Environment

The Field Service Technician will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with frequent travel to customer sites. The role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and will have a strong understanding of commercial and industrial floor cleaning equipment.
