Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Manager or Supervisor at Gordon Ramsay Burger, this role is pivotal in ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. The individual will be responsible for welcoming and seating patrons while strictly adhering to operational standards and regulations set forth by Gordon Ramsay. This position plays a crucial role in fostering a safe and inviting atmosphere for both guests and team members alike.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly, using their names whenever possible.
  • Oversee the Open Table reservation system to manage bookings efficiently.
  • Assign seating based on guest preferences and provide menus; inform guests about daily specials.
  • Describe the preparation methods of various menu items and beverages.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of tables and counters; clear dishes and replenish supplies as needed.
  • Carry out opening and closing tasks as necessary.
  • Keep accurate records of wait lists and reservations.
  • Ensure optimal table availability through effective communication with serving and bussing staff.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with all relevant operational departments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including guests, management, and team members.
  • Adhere to licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned or directed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Availability to work evenings and weekends is essential.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • Familiarity with the Open Table platform is advantageous.
  • Serving it Right certification is required.
  • Capability to obtain a Gaming License successfully.
  • Strong communication skills to meet and exceed customer expectations in a timely and service-oriented manner.

Work Environment

  • The role is set in a dynamic casino, restaurant, or bar environment, requiring standing and walking for extended periods and flexibility with non-traditional working hours.
