About the Role

Cefa Early Learning Brentwood is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development and Learning
    • Assess children's development to create personalized learning plans that cater to their unique needs and abilities.
    • Design and implement child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Program Implementation and Evaluation
    • Develop and maintain a safe and healthy environment that supports children's overall well-being.
    • Engage children in activities that foster creativity, imagination, and social skills.
    • Observe and record children's progress, identifying areas for improvement and reporting to parents and supervisors.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, parents, and community service providers.
    • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to ensure seamless collaboration and support.
  • Professional Development
    • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, research, and regulations to ensure high-quality care and education.
    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
    • Experience in early childhood education, child care, or a related field is an asset.
  • Skills and Qualities
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
