Key Responsibilities
  • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Develop and implement engaging child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Maintain a clean and organized daycare environment, including equipment and supplies.
  • Engage children in storytelling, singing, and other activities that foster creativity and imagination.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Plan and prepare healthy snacks and meals for children.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, adhering to licensing regulations.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities with other early childhood educators and assistants.
Requirements
  • Permanent work term.
  • 37-40 hours per week.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Early childhood education and teaching or equivalent experience.
