We are seeking an exceptional Scientist, Cancer Researcher to join our team at the British Columbia Cancer Research Institute (BCCRI). As a key member of our research team, you will contribute to the development of innovative cancer treatments and therapies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead independent research projects in cancer biology, focusing on tumor development, cell plasticity, and metastasis.
- Collaborate with our internationally renowned faculty to advance basic and translational cancer research.
- Teach molecular biology and medical science-related courses at the graduate and undergraduate level.
- Foster active collaborations with biomedical research teams within the BCCRI and affiliated universities.
- Ph.D. in cancer biology or a related area, supplemented with at least 3 years of postdoctoral or equivalent experience.
- Proven expertise in cancer biology, with a particular focus on tumor development, cell plasticity, and metastasis.
- Experience developing or working with in vivo animal modeling of human solid tumors.
- Strong potential for excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada.
- Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting Indigenous communities.
