Research Scientist Opportunity in Cancer Biology

BC Cancer is seeking an exceptional Research Scientist to join our team in Cancer Biology. As a Research Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research in cancer biology, with a focus on tumour development, cell plasticity, and metastasis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in cancer biology, with a focus on tumour development, cell plasticity, and metastasis.
  • Develop and implement research plans, including experimental design, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
  • Collaborate with other researchers and scientists to advance our understanding of cancer biology.
  • Teach molecular biology and medical science-related courses at the graduate and undergraduate level.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Cancer Biology or a related area, supplemented with at least 3 years of postdoctoral or equivalent experience.
  • Proven expertise in cancer biology, with a particular focus on tumour development, cell plasticity, and metastasis.
  • Experience developing or working with in vivo animal modeling of human solid tumors.
  • Strong potential for excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
