Job Title: Director, Strategy and Innovation

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Strategy and Innovation to join our team at Accoravillage. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing organizational strategies, driving business transformation, and innovating our service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Communication:
    • Oversee the development and execution of organizational strategy.
    • Provide strategic guidance and support to senior leadership.
    • Direct strategic projects and ensure strategy objectives remain central.
    • Communicate and build the organization's strategy collaboratively.
    • Lead by example and ensure a service culture aligned with organizational values.
    • Ensure TR & EDI principles are embedded in decision-making processes.
  • Strategy and Innovation:
    • Work with senior leaders to establish a comprehensive strategic roadmap.
    • Lead innovation of LABC's service delivery.
    • Provide oversight of all strategic planning and policy functions.
    • Partners with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven strategic initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Design projects to achieve high-quality outcomes.
    • Engage and coach senior leaders to embrace their roles as change sponsors.
    • Conduct research and analysis of the organization's environment to drive change.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Prepare and present comprehensive reports on strategy performance.
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Manage high-performing team members, fostering an environment of innovation.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 8-10+ years in leadership positions, preferably in the non-profit or public sector.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional leadership skills and ability to inspire a team.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Proven experience engaging with external entities.

Desirable Qualities:

  • Understanding of laws and policies affecting Indigenous peoples.
  • Experience applying Truth and Reconciliation in previous roles.
