Job Title: Talent Acquisition Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Talent Acquisition Manager to join our team at Volkswagen Group Canada Inc. in St. Thomas, ON.

About the Role:

The Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive strategies for talent acquisition that align with PowerCo SE's Talent Acquisition strategy. This includes collaborating closely with PowerCo SE (Germany), VW Group Canada (VGCA), and other HR team members to deliver a strategic workforce and talent plan that supports recruitment, onboarding, and retention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement talent acquisition strategies that meet business objectives
  • Collaborate with HRBPs and senior leadership to understand and forecast talent needs
  • Allocate talent acquisition budget and manage external vendors
  • Engage with industry best practices and benchmarking activities
  • Provide strategic leadership to enhance the employee journey through innovative onboarding programs and a positive workplace culture
  • Act as a key organizational resource to senior executive members, directors, and managers
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree/Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience with a minimum of 5 years of people management experience
  • Proven track record in a Senior Talent Acquisition role, preferably in the Automotive, Manufacturing, Chemical, Semiconductors, or Pharma industries
  • Demonstrated experience in scaling Talent Acquisition initiatives within a startup environment
  • Proven track record in developing robust Talent Acquisition strategies and employer branding initiatives
  • Experience working in a large, multi-national organization
  • Experience designing and implementing large-scale HR initiatives with a global perspective
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of immigration legislation and visa sponsorship requirements
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (Taleo and Success Factors)
  • Knowledge of relevant employment legislation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to consult, facilitate, and lead effectively with various audiences
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • High degree of intercultural awareness and sensitivity
