Key Responsibilities:

• Aid in effectively guiding the development and direction of the reporting team members.
• Support in managing sales, profit margins, expenses, inventory, and overall department performance.
• Provide training to gas bar staff on all store responsibilities and the procedures for opening and closing.
• Ensure compliance with Federated Co-op policies regarding the sale of age-restricted products and all applicable government regulations concerning tobacco, lottery, and fireworks.
• Complete all necessary daily reports, including cash reconciliation and other required documentation.
• Uphold and promote the Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures, and train gas bar clerks accordingly.
• Assist in ensuring the department maintains proper display, stocking, and rotation of merchandise in accordance with company standards, focusing on brand image.
• Perform minor repairs to assets as necessary.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Collaboration: : Reporting to the C-Store/Gas Bar Team Leader, you will play a vital role in initiating, developing, and implementing strategies and policies to ensure ongoing growth in sales, service, and customer satisfaction. You will help lead a dynamic and enthusiastic team to foster a collaborative culture.
Importance of the Role: The Federated Co-operatives Limited team offers a variety of products and services to support our member-owners across multiple communities. Through our efforts and substantial annual sales, we contribute to the development and prosperity of our communities.
Ideal Candidate:
You are pursuing a career in Customer Service and:
• Have completed high school or possess a combination of relevant experience; a minimum of 3 years in retail sales with supervisory responsibilities, particularly within the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is preferred.
• Exhibit strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and collaborate with team members.
• Are honest, trustworthy, results-driven, and strive for excellence in your work.
• Possess experience in C-Store/Gas Bar operations and familiarity with general merchandise.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and strong cash management abilities.
• Have solid analytical and problem-solving skills, effective planning capabilities, and excellent time management.
• Are experienced with Point of Sale systems and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Are available for travel within the trading area for seminars, meetings, training sessions, and other events.
• Can plan and organize your own work and that of others, supervise, and delegate tasks effectively.
• Meet the physical demands of the job, including manual labor.
• Have a flexible schedule that includes availability on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Are willing to obtain propane dispenser and WHMIS certifications.
• Hold a valid Class 5 driver's license.
