About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Sunset Inn & Suites. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, as well as leading a team of cooks and kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation
    • Source and procure high-quality ingredients and supplies
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff
    • Provide guidance and support to ensure excellent service and quality
  • Culinary Expertise
    • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to kitchen staff
    • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events and functions
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all kitchen staff
    • Comply with all health and safety regulations and protocols
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Skills
    • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
