About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Sunset Inn & Suites. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Training: Supervise and train cooking staff, including specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks, to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Assist in planning and executing menus, ensuring that food meets quality standards and is presented in a visually appealing manner.
  • Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events, such as banquets, and ensure that food is served in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain inventory levels to ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and prepared for service.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all kitchen staff adhere to health and safety protocols, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
