Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Instrument Asset Specialist to join our Spartan Valve & Measurement Reliability Solutions Team in Edmonton, Calgary, or Fort McMurray. As a key member of our team, you will work directly with Strategic Customers to leverage Emerson Smart Valve & Measurement technologies and drive efficiency, reliability, and cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance customer maintenance and reliability work processes using Emerson technologies and Spartan best practices.
  • Provide expert-level utilization of Emerson's AMS Device Manager Suite, including diagnostics and predictive alert capabilities.
  • Offer direct reliability and technical support for Emerson/Spartan products at both engineering and maintenance levels.
  • Deliver and quantify customer value.
  • Provide hands-on training and mentorship on the utilization of Emerson's technologies.
  • Create, improve, and maintain instrument data integrity, including diagnostic, maintenance, datasheet, and SIS instrument validation records.
  • Optimize and manage instrument inventory.
  • Participate in the development, optimization, and execution of instrument and valve turnaround scope.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree, Instrumentation Technologist diploma, or Instrumentation Journeyman/Journeywoman/Journeyperson designation from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in an operating process facility is an asset.
  • Experience working with Emerson devices and AMS Device Manager/Valvelink software is an asset.
  • Experience in a Maintenance or Reliability Specialist role is an asset.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Highly motivated and innovative.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Entrepreneurial work ethic.
  • This role requires flexibility and the ability to commute to the customer site on a regular schedule.
