Your Opportunity:

Position Overview:

As a Surgical Instrumentation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare system by managing the decontamination, reassembly, and sterilization of surgical tools, equipment, and hospital supplies. Your expertise will ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and the implementation of Universal Precautions to mitigate the risk of Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough decontamination and sterilization processes for surgical instruments.
  2. Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and perform necessary biological, chemical, and quality assurance testing.
  3. Report any issues or malfunctions to the supervising authority.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) program is essential. Additionally, certification from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) is required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

As needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with CSA certification.
