Job Summary:

Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd is seeking skilled Industrial Instrumentation Technicians to join our team. As an Industrial Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial instrumentation systems in various oil and gas construction and maintenance projects throughout Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial instrumentation systems, including sensors, transmitters, and control systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve issues with instrumentation systems.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and implement procedures for testing and commissioning instrumentation systems.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal system performance.

Requirements:

  • Journeyman Instrument certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Registered Instrumentation Apprentice (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year) or willingness to be indentured into the trade.
  • Previous conduit experience and instrumentation construction and maintenance experience in the Industrial Oil & Gas sector are considered assets.
  • Candidates must have valid Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive and Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020 Fundamentals Certificates.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including shift work, overtime, and weekends.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
