Aliaxis is a leading provider of advanced plastic piping systems in North America, dedicated to shaping a better future by connecting people with water and energy.

We are currently offering a position as Automation and Instrumentation Specialist at our manufacturing plant, reporting to the Technical Manager.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and integrating equipment and systems to ensure the highest standards of automation and instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems Design and Integration:

  • Develop and implement innovative manufacturing systems integrating automation and Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Propose improvements to existing systems to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Design and develop programs for instrument safeguards to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Standardize technical troubleshooting procedures to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Instrumentation and Controls:

  • Develop specifications for safety-critical instrumentation to ensure reliability and accuracy.
  • Design and troubleshoot basic RTU and PLC configurations to optimize system performance.
  • Implement advanced control systems to improve process efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Investigate and resolve incidents related to automation and instrumentation.
  • Review and validate HAZOP assessments to ensure safety and compliance.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in powder handling and automation preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Office environment work with occasional travel to plant locations.
