About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales and Business Development to drive our expansion into large fleet customers across the Canadian market. As a leader in Fleet EV charger infrastructure for Fortune 500 companies, EVs offers a comprehensive value proposition that accelerates the transition to zero-emission vehicles for fleets and electric vehicle manufacturers.

In this role, you will collaborate with our executive team to lead and manage the Canadian sales team, bringing large fleet customers into the EVs ecosystem. Our product offerings include integrated solutions such as EV charging infrastructure, OEM certifications, EV charging hardware, InControl software, Charging as a Service (CaaS), and solar and battery storage.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement a Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a sales strategy to prioritize, educate, and secure contracts with new fleet customers across Canada for EVs' services.
  2. Lead and Manage the Canadian Sales Team: Lead and manage the Canadian sales team, overseeing a group of remote Regional Account Executives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and fostering a high-performance culture.
  3. Set and Achieve Monthly Sales Targets: Set and achieve monthly sales targets, ensuring consistent growth and market penetration.
  4. Cultivate and Sustain Client Relationships: Cultivate and sustain robust, long-term client relationships, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
  5. Establish Trusted Advisor Relationships: Establish trusted advisor relationships with fleet customers, understanding their business and technical requirements to deliver optimal solutions.
  6. Mentor and Develop the Sales Team: Mentor and develop a highly effective sales team, fostering professional growth and ensuring team success.
  7. Facilitate Seamless Communication: Facilitate seamless communication between fleet customers and EVs departments to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
  8. Utilize Automation Tools and CRM: Utilize automation tools and Salesforce to accurately forecast sales and streamline account management processes.
Requirements
  1. Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in high-level, strategic sales. Proven experience leading a direct sales team. Relevant industry experience in fleets, electric vehicles, solar, OEM sales and service, or a related field.
  2. Exceptional Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with senior management and maintaining thorough client and internal documentation.
  3. Collaboration and Leadership: Proven ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments, including sales, marketing, engineering, product development, and operations, to develop superior customer solutions.
  4. Organizational and Technical Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented, adept at multitasking and thriving under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in or similar CRM platforms.
  5. Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel 35% or more to meet business and client needs.
