Residential Property Caretaker

The role of a Residential Property Caretaker involves overseeing the maintenance and cleanliness of commercial properties, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants.
Qualifications- Education: No formal education required.
- Experience: Previous experience ranging from 1 to less than 7 months is preferred.
This position is set within various commercial establishments, including shopping centers and malls, where the caretaker will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing floors, hallways, and staircases.
- Utilize industrial vacuum cleaners to effectively remove dirt, debris, and refuse.
- Manage waste disposal by emptying trash cans and other waste containers.
- Coordinate with contractors for necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Conduct safety and security inspections regularly.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safety.
The caretaker will operate small tractors equipped with lawn and snow removal attachments as part of their duties.
Support InitiativesThis position also involves supporting newcomers and refugees, including:
- Recruiting individuals displaced by conflicts or natural disasters.
- Assisting with foreign credential recognition.
Additionally, the caretaker will engage with Indigenous communities and visible minorities by:
- Building relationships with Indigenous organizations.
- Providing mentorship programs and diversity training.
