Mackenzie Health is initiating a comprehensive modernization of its human resources, finance, and supply chain services through the adoption of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This ERP initiative is essential for enhancing corporate services functions, providing crucial support across the organization. These services are vital for optimizing resource utilization, ensuring high-quality care, and maintaining compliance with evolving regulations. The transformation of corporate services is a key priority for the organization, aimed at fostering a more agile and efficient operational framework.
Mackenzie Health is in search of a seasoned professional to assume a pivotal leadership role in the ERP project, specifically focusing on the implementation of the HR components of the new ERP system. As the HR Manager, you will be instrumental in refining operations and HR processes while effectively implementing and enhancing the HR systems.

The ideal candidate is a proactive individual who will significantly contribute to the success of the ERP implementation by ensuring that current and future HR business requirements are addressed and best practices are optimized. They will oversee the evolution, enhancement, and maintenance of the ERP solution post-implementation. The successful candidate will collaborate with a dynamic team dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency and support the mission of providing exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

Implementation Responsibilities

Provide leadership and innovative thinking, working alongside the Project Manager to assign tasks, identify, track, and eliminate obstacles (risks, issues). Ensure adequate resources are available for task completion and escalate issues as necessary. Gather and define HR requirements and business needs through process analysis and consultation. Identify and monitor assumptions and constraints, ensuring adherence to program methodologies and standards. Identify tasks and assist in the creation, coordination, and execution of program work plans/deliverables, adjusting as needed to meet evolving program requirements. Lead the team, in collaboration with the vendor, to identify and modify functional procedures. Work closely with the organizational change management lead/analyst to assess change management needs and impacts. Support ongoing decision-making and adherence to program timelines. Create, review, and approve program deliverables, ensuring high quality and alignment with program standards. Address any issues related to deliverable completion and escalate as needed. Provide updates to the Director of ERP Implementation & Transformation and the Committee Infrastructure regarding the status of deliverables and tasks. Champion change by promoting and educating teams on best practices, program methodologies, governance, and strategies. Seek opportunities to enhance stakeholder satisfaction and strengthen relationships with stakeholders and vendors by fostering a collaborative working environment. Collaborate cross-functionally with team members and stakeholders to ensure program success. Work with team members and the Director of ERP Implementation & Transformation to ensure deliverables are completed, KPIs are met, and communication remains ongoing. Provide technical support by collaborating with the technical team to develop functional/technical specifications and security profiles. Support organizational change management efforts, including training development and delivery. Assist with data conversion tasks, including sourcing, mapping, cleansing, and extraction. Execute testing and assist with test script creation and updates. Participate in procurement activities as required. Develop and implement short- and long-term technology plans in collaboration with the HR team to achieve departmental goals. Create HR business cases for new technology solutions. Demonstrate a commitment to efficiency and continuous improvement through innovation and best practices during and after implementation. Establish goals and implementation plans to achieve high-quality deliverables within expected timeframes, monitoring progress and managing risks.

Post-Implementation Responsibilities

Maintain and deliver training, user guides, and communications to ensure end-users understand the ERP for HR functional areas. Develop, update, and maintain test scripts, manuals, and other HR-related materials. Provide ongoing support and guidance to the HR department and system users regarding the ERP system for HR. Monitor system tickets and processes to identify opportunities and challenges related to technology and processes. Collaborate with IT and compliance teams to establish data governance standards. Ensure the maintenance of HR ERP standards and controls to uphold data integrity and functionality. Act as a subject matter expert for defined ERP functional areas. Ensure uninterrupted operation and scheduled maintenance of HR core functionality. Investigate and resolve ERP system tickets for defined functional areas, documenting issues and solutions. Develop metrics related to system efficiency, user satisfaction, and process optimization. Coordinate release management activities for the HR core system. Participate in the development and enhancement of reports from the ERP system for HR. Monitor trends and best practices in HR to advise on future development opportunities. Conduct research and prepare reports for the Director of ERP Implementation & Transformation.

Required Qualifications:

Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Information Technology Management, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. A minimum of five (5) years of experience translating HR business requirements into project requirements, preferably in a healthcare context. At least three (3) years of experience managing HR applications and enabling technology. Comprehensive knowledge of HR processes, principles, compliance requirements, and best practices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including writing and presentation abilities. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. Proven leadership skills. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and time-management abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong attendance record. Commitment to safety policies and procedures that foster an inclusive environment. Demonstrated empathy in interactions with others. Preferred Qualifications:

Expertise in change management with a successful track record in driving organizational change. Previous leadership experience is preferred. Experience in project management, release management, process design, and testing in a healthcare context. Proven ability to document business processes and train end-users. Change management certification is preferred. Project Management Certification is preferred.
