The role of Supply Chain Manager for ERP Transformation is crucial for the modernization efforts at Mackenzie Health.

This is a Permanent Full-Time position.

Mackenzie Health is undertaking a significant multi-year initiative to modernize its human resources, finance, and supply chain operations through the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This ERP project is essential for enhancing corporate services functions, providing a robust support framework for the entire organization. These functions are vital for the effective and efficient utilization of resources, ensuring high-quality care, and maintaining compliance with evolving regulations. The transformation of corporate services is a top priority for the organization, aimed at creating a more agile and efficient system.
We are in search of a seasoned professional to take on a leadership role in this ERP initiative, specifically focusing on guiding and advising on the implementation of supply chain functionalities, including purchasing, materials management, and inventory management. As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be instrumental in optimizing operations and supply chain processes while implementing and enhancing the supply chain systems.
The ideal candidate is a proactive individual who will significantly contribute to the success of the ERP implementation by ensuring that both current and future supply chain business requirements are fulfilled and that best practices are optimized. This individual will oversee the evolution, enhancement, and maintenance of the ERP solution post-implementation. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency and support our mission of providing exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

Implementation Responsibilities

Provide leadership and innovative thinking, collaborating with the project manager to assign tasks, identify, track, and eliminate obstacles (risks, issues). Ensure adequate resources are available for task completion and escalate issues as necessary. Gather and define supply chain requirements and business needs through process analysis and consultation. Identify and monitor assumptions and constraints, ensuring adherence to program methodologies and standards. Identify tasks and assist in the creation, coordination, and execution of program work plans and deliverables, revising as necessary to meet changing program needs. Lead the team, in collaboration with the vendor, for functional procedure identification and modification. Work closely with the organizational change management lead/analyst to identify change management needs and impacts. Support ongoing decision-making and adherence to program timelines. Create, review, and approve program deliverables, ensuring high quality and alignment with program standards. Resolve issues related to deliverable completion and escalate as appropriate. Provide updates to the Director of ERP Implementation & Transformation and the Committee Infrastructure regarding deliverable/task/sprint completion levels. Champion change by promoting and educating teams on best practice adoption, program methodologies, governance, and strategies. Seek opportunities to enhance stakeholder satisfaction and strengthen relationships with stakeholders and vendors by fostering a collaborative working environment. Adopt a collaborative approach:
o Work cross-functionally with team members and stakeholders to ensure program success.
o Ensure collaborative efforts in workshops with appropriate team members and stakeholders. Collaborate with team members and the Director of ERP Implementation & Transformation to ensure deliverables are completed, KPIs are met, and communications are ongoing. Technical Support: Collaborate with the technical team to create functional/technical specifications and security profiles. OCM Support: Work with the vendor and organizational change management lead/analyst for training development and delivery and other assigned OCM tasks. Data Conversion Support: Collaborate with the vendor and data team members to assist with data conversion tasks, including sourcing, mapping, cleansing, and extraction. Testing Support: Execute testing and assist with testing as assigned, creating and updating test scripts as necessary. Procurement Support: Participate in required procurement activities, including RFPs and quotes. Develop and implement short and long-term technology plans to achieve business goals related to supply chain. Create business cases for new technology solutions in the supply chain area. Demonstrate a commitment to efficiency and continuous improvement through innovation and best practices during and after implementation. Establish goals and implementation plans to achieve high-quality deliverables within expected timeframes, monitoring progress, managing risks, and keeping key stakeholders informed.

Post-Implementation Responsibilities

Maintain and develop training materials, user guides, and facilitate communications to ensure end-users understand the ERP for supply chain functional and process areas. Develop, update, and maintain test scripts, manuals, and other materials related to supply chain. Provide ongoing process and system support to departments and users post-implementation regarding the ERP system for supply chain, including maintenance activities and minor enhancements. Proactively monitor system tickets, issues, and processes to identify opportunities and challenges related to technology and processes. Analyze and validate business processes and work procedures for optimal use of the supply chain core system. Collaborate with IT and compliance teams to establish data governance standards and protocols. Ensure maintenance of supply chain standards and controls to guarantee data integrity and functionality by resolving problems and recommending solutions. Act as a subject matter expert for defined ERP functional and process areas. Ensure uninterrupted operation and scheduled maintenance of the supply chain core functionality, including incident resolution. Investigate and resolve ERP system tickets for defined functional areas, conducting analysis, searching for solutions, troubleshooting, and collaborating with stakeholders and vendors as necessary. Develop metrics related to system efficiency, user satisfaction, and process optimization. Coordinate release management activities for the supply chain core system. Participate in the build, maintenance, and enhancement of reports from the ERP system for supply chain. Monitor and interpret trends and best practices specific to supply chain, advising the Director of ERP Planning & Implementation on future development opportunities. Conduct research and prepare ad hoc reports for the Director of ERP Implementation & Transformation.

Required Qualifications:

Post-secondary degree in information technology management, computer science, business, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of five (5) years of experience translating supply chain business requirements into project requirements, preferably in a healthcare setting. Three to five (3-5) years of experience managing supply chain applications and enabling technology. In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, principles, compliance requirements, and best practices. Proven ability to document business processes and train end-users on new procedures. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including writing and presentation skills for engaging with individuals and teams at all organizational levels. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive initiatives in a dynamic environment. Strong leadership capabilities. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively while meeting stakeholder expectations. Strong computer and technology skills. Proven attendance record. Understanding and compliance with patient and staff safety policies to foster a safe and inclusive environment. Ability to perform essential job duties. Empathetic interactions with others. Ideally, your profile includes:

Experience in project management, release management, process design, configuration, and testing, preferably in a healthcare context. Change management expertise with a proven track record of driving organizational change initiatives. Previous leadership experience is preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred. Certification in change management is preferred.
