Position Overview

The Institute for Performance and Learning is seeking a Full-Time Permanent Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) to join our dynamic team.

As a key player in our organization, you will be involved in the management of electrical transmission and distribution systems, emphasizing safety, reliability, and innovative solutions. Our team is dedicated to maintaining electrical infrastructure, facilitating customer connections, and planning for the future of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Contributing to the development of engineering standards and procedures.
  2. Ensuring timely delivery of projects by effectively communicating priorities and expectations.
  3. Reviewing and educating team members on relevant policies, standards, and regulations.
  4. Collaborating with the Engineering Standards Manager to establish and refine electrical distribution standards.
  5. Assisting in the creation and upkeep of specifications for materials and equipment.
  6. Engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to foster effective communication.
  7. Innovating and implementing engineering solutions tailored to customer needs.
  8. Contributing to the enhancement of standards and processes within the organization.

Qualifications

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  2. Eligibility for registration with APEGA as an Engineer in Training (E.I.T).
  3. Familiarity with electrical distribution systems is advantageous.
  4. Knowledge of relevant codes and standards is a plus.

As the ideal candidate, you will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrating the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. You are a proactive team player with excellent communication abilities, capable of collaborating effectively on various projects.

Additional Information

Work Schedule: 80 hours biweekly
