Director of Physician Quality Improvement

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Physician Quality Improvement to lead our Physician Clinical Quality Improvement initiatives across Fraser Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to ensure the implementation, monitoring, and sustainment of quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement quality improvement strategies and education to create system-level changes
- Oversee the development of reporting protocols, infrastructure, metrics, and data to measure and evaluate quality improvement initiatives
- Manage complex initiatives involving diverse organizations and individuals, representing Fraser Health on provincial working groups
- Provide expertise and leadership in partnership with Physician Leaders for the implementation, design, and sustainment of Physician practice and Clinical Quality Improvement initiatives
- Establish robust infrastructure for regular reporting on quality initiatives, progress, tactics, and metrics
- Report on the progress and impact of QI initiatives to executive leadership and stakeholders
- Formulate and implement strategic action plans to ensure sustainable resource allocation and attainment of key performance indicators
- Cultivate a productive relationship with Physician Advisors to advance quality improvement education and initiatives
- Facilitate consensus and provide guidance to portfolio leadership regarding initiative implementation and resource allocation
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships and networks with internal and external service providers
- Provide overall direction and supervision to the team through coaching, mentoring, and leadership development
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by providing ongoing education and resources to medical staff and partners
- Master's Degree in Health Administration or related discipline
- Ten (10) years' recent related experience working in a healthcare environment, including five (5) years management experience in quality improvement and patient safety development, implementation, and evaluation
- Demonstrated leadership practices of the Fraser Health Leadership Framework of Clear, Caring, and Courageous
- Professional/Technical Capabilities:
- Demonstrated ability to lead, plan, direct, manage, and implement data-driven quality assurance and improvement initiatives
- Intermediate to expert-level implementation science, quality improvement, and change management skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of pertinent healthcare policies, standards, codes, bylaws, and regulations
