Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all financial operations including accounting, billing, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for daily operations.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the practice's growth and sustainability.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, including monitoring actual vs. budget performance.
  • Conduct financial forecasting and analysis to support business decisions and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulations.
  • Present financial reports to the management team, highlighting key trends and areas of concern.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
  • Manage tax reporting and filing processes, working with external auditors and tax advisors as necessary.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the practice's financial assets.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives, providing financial insights and analysis to guide decision-making.
  • Assist in the management of vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting and finance staff.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations across the practice.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
  • 5 years of experience in financial management or accounting, with at least 2 years in a healthcare or dental practice setting.
  • Proven experience in managing budgets, financial reporting, and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of dental practice management software is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of integrity and ethical responsibility.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement.
