About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at 5054801 Ontario Limited. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our patients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities and promote their physical and mental well-being.
  • Supply and empty bed pans and maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Take patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Serve meal trays and assist patients with feeding and hydration.
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients with care and attention to their safety and comfort.
  • Maintain patients' rooms and ensure they are clean and tidy.
  • Supervise patients' exercise routines and promote their physical activity and mobility.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure that all necessary equipment is available.
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients with dignity and respect.
  • Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Answer call signals and respond to patients' needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collect specimens and maintain accurate records.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations and provide basic life support.
Requirements
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate are required.
  • Physically demanding work environment, requiring a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent full-time position, 32 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
