What You'll Be Doing In The Role

  • Oversee daily accounting functions across regional locations to ensure compliance with established accounting protocols.
  • Manage comprehensive financial oversight for the dealerships, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Supervise accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
  • Develop and uphold internal controls to protect company assets and guarantee financial data accuracy.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management evaluation.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders to assess financial performance, pinpoint improvement areas, and implement strategies to enhance profitability.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, offering guidance and support for their professional growth and success.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals to facilitate audits and tax compliance as necessary.
  • Continuously seek to enhance data integrity and reporting accuracy throughout the organization.

Here's What You Will Need To Be Successful

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA designation or progress towards it is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant accounting/finance experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience in the automotive sector is essential, with a strong grasp of industry-specific accounting principles and practices, including inventory management and financing.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office; familiarity with CDK is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen eye for detail and adherence to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across various levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership skills, with a history of effectively managing and developing a team.
