Overview of the Role:

The Team:
The Conservation Officer Service Headquarters Administration Team is composed of a diverse group of professionals who excel in a collaborative setting. Our established team of four values professional development and empowerment, working in close coordination with various departments such as Staff Development, Training & Recruitment, Policy Analysts, and Compliance Information Analysts. By delivering essential administrative support for corporate initiatives, human resources, and compliance programs, we play a vital role in the success and integrity of our organization.

The Responsibilities:
In this position, you will report to the Headquarters Team Lead, providing essential records management assistance, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of compliance and enforcement training data, and delivering general administrative, logistical, and financial services. Your contributions will directly affect the citizens and clients we serve by supporting the mission of the Conservation Officer Service as a leading natural resource law enforcement agency and public safety provider. This role offers the chance to be part of a dedicated team committed to continuous improvement and transparent leadership.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Post-secondary education (diploma or certificate) in office/business or public administration; AND,
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in an administrative capacity within an office environment; OR,
  • A combination of secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience; OR,
  • An equivalent combination of related education, experience, and/or training may be considered.
  • Proficiency in using Adobe Acrobat Pro and MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preference may be given to candidates with one (1) or both of the following:
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume office environment with geographically dispersed staff.
  • Experience in effectively managing data and working with databases.

About the Position:
There is currently one (1) permanent, full-time position available. Flexible work options are available; this position may allow for remote work up to two (2) days per week, subject to an approved Telework Agreement.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
Enhanced Security Screening will be required.
