Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Apartment Building Caretaker to join our team at Touchstone Enterprise Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our residential buildings.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs; operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and dirt; empty trash cans and other waste containers.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems; contact tradespersons for major repairs; perform minor repairs on appliances.
  • Safety and Security: Perform safety and security checks; ensure the building is secure and free from hazards.
  • Other Duties: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures; perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset; ability to work under pressure and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
Work Conditions

Work under pressure; repetitive tasks; standing for extended periods.
