About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Department Supervisor to join our team at RA3 Enterprise Inc. as a key member of our retail store leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Manage Staff: Lead and motivate a team of sales workers, apprentices, and other staff members to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assign Duties and Tasks: Effectively assign sales workers to duties, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, hire, and train new staff members, or arrange for training to be provided, to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles.
  • Authorize Payments and Merchandise: Authorize payments by cheque and order merchandise to ensure that the store has the necessary stock to meet customer demand.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure that the store is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve Issues: Resolve customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Organize Inventory: Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure that the store has the necessary stock to meet customer demand.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews to assess the performance of staff members and provide feedback and coaching to improve their skills and knowledge.

Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a leadership role, or equivalent experience.
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking, air-conditioned.
  • Work Setting: Retail service establishment, retail business.
  • Relocation: Willing to relocate.
