Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Deli Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Deli Associate, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized deli area, and assisting with the sale of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Zoning the department to ensure a clean and safe shopping environment
  • Rotating stock and checking for expired products to maintain high-quality merchandise
  • Ensuring merchandise is properly signed and priced to meet company standards
  • Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
  • Taking orders for deli department merchandise, slicing and preparing merchandise, and providing requested assistance
  • Providing assistance to front-end associates with price checks
  • Preparing deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers, stackers, and other utensils to prepare chicken and fill prepared salads and side dishes
  • Maintaining a clean and organized deli area, free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids
