Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at PRESCOTT SMOKESHOP & GROCERY INC.

Job Summary:

The Retail Store Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a high level of sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hiring and Training: Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
  • Financial Management: Authorize payments by cheque and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Inventory Management: Order merchandise and authorize the return of merchandise to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Scheduling: Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Sales and Customer Service: Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Conflict Resolution: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
  • Supervision: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure efficient operations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • Language: English.
Work Environment:

The Retail Store Supervisor will work in a fast-paced retail environment with a team of 3-4 people.

Computer and Technology Knowledge:

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of point of sale systems and be proficient in using technology to manage store operations.Support for Newcomers and Refugees:

The Retail Store Supervisor will assist with the immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, including housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.

The ideal candidate will also recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster and support them with foreign credential recognition.

This is a permanent position with a work term of 35 to 40 hours per week.
