Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at PRESCOTT SMOKESHOP & GROCERY INC.

Job Summary:

The Retail Store Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing a team of sales associates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hiring and Training: Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Financial Management: Authorize payments by cheque and manage store finances to ensure accurate and timely transactions.
  • Inventory Management: Order merchandise and authorize the return of merchandise to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Scheduling: Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and efficient store operations.
  • Sales and Customer Service: Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Conflict Resolution: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
  • Team Management: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure efficient store operations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Point of sale system experience.
  • Supervision: 3-4 people.
Work Environment:

The Retail Store Supervisor will work in a fast-paced retail environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service and managing a team of sales associates.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule:

The work schedule is 35 to 40 hours per week.
