Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at PRESCOTT SMOKESHOP & GROCERY INC.

Job Summary:

The Retail Store Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing a team of staff members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hiring and Training: Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to provide excellent customer service.
  • Financial Management: Authorize payments by cheque and manage the store's finances effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Order merchandise and authorize the return of merchandise to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Scheduling: Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Sales and Reporting: Sell merchandise and prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
  • Customer Service: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
  • Supervision: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers, ensuring they are working efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Point of sale system experience.
