The Opportunity

PBS Systems is a leading provider of Dealer Management Systems (DMS) to the North American retail automotive industry. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Software Trainer to join our team in Calgary.

The Role

As an Automotive Software Trainer, you will be responsible for providing support and training to new and existing customers on our DMS software. This will involve assisting customers with virtual training, online and on the phone, as well as onsite training at customer locations throughout North America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn and develop an understanding of the PBS software
  • Learn and develop an understanding of the process for training customers on the PBS software
  • Learn and develop an understanding of data entry and other key tasks
  • Assist customers with virtual training, online and on the phone
  • Provide onsite training at customer locations throughout North America
  • Maintain a positive relationship with customers, identifying customer needs and ensuring they are being met or exceeded
  • Respond to both internal and external training requests in a timely manner
  • Write up tickets and investigate issues that arise and escalate issues to the corresponding teams
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment
  • Knowledge sharing within own silo and others within DTO
  • Maintain documentation and update as processes change within department
  • Willingness to commit to an ongoing system of education and cross-training
Qualifications
  • Experience in the sales area of a dealership preferred
  • 1-2 years' previous experience in the automotive industry, dealership environment or PBS is preferred
  • High School Diploma
  • Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong problem solving & trouble shooting skills
  • Effective time management & organizational skills
  • Strong multi-tasking & prioritization
  • Strong documentation abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the USA up to 2 weeks per month
