Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of a project, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and goals, and develop tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Work closely with Directors, Principals, and upper management to drive project success.
  • Develop and manage project work plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and project teams, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities having jurisdiction to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Direct and oversee the preparation of high-quality documentation, including construction drawings and specifications.
  • Review and perform code reviews of construction documents to ensure quality assurance.
  • Develop and lead the preparation of permit packages, tender packages, and administer the tendering process.
  • Manage the Contract Administration process, handling RFI's, site visits, field reports, and submittal reviews.
  • Drive project success, motivating team members to perform at their best and delivering exceptional results.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree.
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of professional experience in architectural practice.
  • Licensed Architect preferred.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lead and work within a team environment, with exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of current building codes, building construction, details, and building science.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, take ownership of tasks and project deliverables, and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, effective problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Team player, adaptable, and positive attitude.
  • Ideal candidates will have institutional experience in the healthcare, justice, research, and sport facility areas of practice.
