Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist II to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist II, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures, analyzing data, and reporting results to physicians. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including blood banking, urinalysis, and microbiology
  • Analyze data and report results to physicians
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate test results
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with new technologies and techniques
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an approved Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science course in Medical Technology
  • Current registration as a member of the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make sound judgments
