Defined Contribution ConsultantWe are seeking a talented Defined Contribution (DC) Consultant to join our growing team. In this role, you will deliver a comprehensive range of services to institutional clients who sponsor or intend to establish group retirement savings plans. You will work closely with senior DC consultants on complex projects and provide expert advice across all aspects of defined contribution plan design, implementation, and management.
What You Will Do:- Serve as the primary consultant for a portfolio of mid-sized to large clients.
- Provide or oversee the delivery of advice on various DC aspects, including financial wellness, plan design and benefit adequacy evaluation, record keeper selection and ongoing monitoring, vendor contract review, project management for DC plan implementations, investment structure design, manager and fund selection, fee competitiveness assessment, plan governance process development and implementation, regulatory compliance, and member communication materials.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, managing all aspects of consulting engagements.
- Contribute to business development activities, such as client outreach, proposal responses, shortlist presentations, and networking within the industry.
- Participate in thought leadership initiatives and contribute to the firm's knowledge base on DC plan best practices.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working with Defined Contribution plans in a capacity such as plan sponsor, consultant, or relationship manager with a record keeper.
- Fluent bilingualism (English and French).
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- As required by financial markets regulators, group annuity plans advisor designation or enrollment to achieve the certification within your first year will be expected.
- Experience in client relationship management.
- A passion for delivering exceptional service to clients.
- The ability to engage in meaningful conversations beyond traditional investment topics, focusing on financial well-being and plan governance.
- Comfort working in a dynamic environment where change is constant as the DC market evolves rapidly.
- A desire for a long-term and challenging career.
- CFA, ASA or FICA certification is considered an asset.
