Satellite Systems Mechanical and Thermal Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Satellite Systems Mechanical and Thermal Engineer to join our team at Macdonald, Dettwiler And Associates Corporation. As a key member of our Satellite Systems team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical and thermal systems for our satellite platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop mechanical and thermal systems for satellite platforms.
- Oversee the design, development, and testing of mechanical and thermal components, including structures, mechanisms, and thermal interfaces.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
- Work with vendors and suppliers to procure and integrate mechanical and thermal components.
- Participate in the development and implementation of testing and validation plans for mechanical and thermal systems.
- Contribute to the development of technical requirements and specifications for satellite platforms.
- Collaborate with the spacecraft operations team to ensure that mechanical and thermal systems meet performance and reliability requirements.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical and thermal engineering, with a focus on satellite systems.
- Proficiency in mechanical CAD and thermal analysis software.
- Experience with qualification and acceptance testing of new designs.
- Strong understanding of aerospace systems and engineering fundamentals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
