Career Opportunity
We are currently seeking a skilled Satellite Systems Test Engineer Specialist to join our engineering department. This role is pivotal in advancing our capabilities in the new space economy.
Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate with diverse teams to develop test equipment essential for evaluating satellite electronic units;
- Provide support during the testing phases of satellite electronic units;
- Engage in the engineering team focused on electrical ground support equipment (EGSE);
- Design and assist in the manufacturing of electrical test apparatus and cable harnesses;
- Generate design documentation, including electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and bills of materials;
- Conduct analyses and draft test procedures;
- Aid in the procurement, manufacturing, and validation processes of test equipment;
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering;
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience;
- Practical experience in electronic design;
- Proficiency in printed circuit board (PCB) design;
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team; strong interpersonal skills are essential;
- Competence in laboratory work;
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Diptrace or similar PCB CAD tools;
- Understanding of stepper motors and drives;
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or VBA;
- Experience with microcomputers (e.g., Raspberry Pi, Arduino);
- Proficiency in PSoC programming;
- Competence in Microsoft Office suite and Visio;
Additional Information
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance at the reliability status level and pass security assessments for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
