Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at the Government of Nunavut. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of large-scale projects, working closely with our functional disciplinary support teams and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the delivery of assigned projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including government departments, contractors, and community groups, to ensure project success.
  • Monitor and control project risks, issues, and changes, and develop mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with government policies, procedures, and regulations, and maintain accurate records and reports.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, project management, or business administration.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in a government or infrastructure development context.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Gold Seal Certification from the Canadian Construction Association.
  • Experience working in a northern, cross-cultural environment.
  • Fluency in Inuktut, English, or French.
