Recreation Program Coordinator, Fitness and Aquatics

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Program Coordinator to join our team at SIRC. As a key member of our Recreation and Athletics Department, you will be responsible for the administration and implementation of our Fitness and Aquatics programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and implement Fitness and Aquatics programs, ensuring a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise a large team of part-time casual and student employees, providing leadership and guidance to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including administration, other professionals, and the general public.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve program delivery and services.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative and stimulating programs that meet the needs of our diverse community.

Requirements:

  • Two-year college program in a related field, plus National Lifeguard, Standard First Aid, CPR AED, and Lifesaving Society Swim and Lifesaving/Emergency First Aid Instructor certifications.
  • Three years of experience in recreational programs, including customer service and supervising a large team of part-time casual staff.
