Join the City of Calgary in a role dedicated to enhancing the wellbeing of our workforce. As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in shaping and managing various Workplace Wellbeing initiatives that contribute to a healthier work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and refine comprehensive Workplace Wellness programs, including health screening events, educational workshops, and corporate challenges aimed at promoting employee health.
  • Facilitate Workplace Wellbeing Education by collaborating with both internal and external educational resources.
  • Oversee the Learning Management System (LMS), including scheduling, assessment, moderation, and management of training programs.
  • Assist with essential business processes such as vendor relations, financial transactions, and procurement operations.
  • Lead and engage with the Employee Wellness Ambassador Network (EWAN) through recruitment, orientation, and ongoing communication.
  • Analyze program data, assess the effectiveness of initiatives, and compile findings into detailed reports.
  • Work alongside communication teams to develop and maintain wellness communication strategies, including promotional materials and resources.
  • Address inquiries from the HR Help Desk and manage scheduling for the team.

Qualifications:

  • A completed two-year diploma in Health Promotion, Health and Wellness, Communications, or a related discipline, coupled with a minimum of four years of relevant experience, or;
  • A degree in a related field with at least three years of pertinent experience.
  • Experience in program research, planning, coordination, and administration is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Familiarity with HR Help Desk systems and Learning Management Systems is advantageous.
  • Experience in wellness initiatives will be considered a plus.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or equivalent) and occasional access to a personal vehicle for work-related tasks.
  • Strong analytical abilities, exceptional program management skills, and effective presentation capabilities are necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, resolve conflicts, manage time efficiently, take initiative, and foster strong relationships.
