Job Title: Truck and Transport Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Truck and Transport Mechanic to join our team at Oakes Truck Sales. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Estimate parts and labor costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with truck systems, including electrical and electronic systems
  • Work with diesel engines, fuel and emission systems, and brake systems
Requirements:
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the transportation industry
  • Strong knowledge of commercial transport truck systems and repair techniques
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
