Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck and Transport Mechanic to join our team at Oakes Truck Sales. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our commercial transport vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with commercial transport truck systems, including engine, electrical, and suspension components.
  • Estimate and manage parts and labor costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations, to prevent breakdowns and extend vehicle lifespan.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve technical issues and improve maintenance processes.
Requirements
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial transport truck systems, including diesel engines, electrical systems, and suspension components.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
