About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck and Transport Mechanic to join our team at Oakes Truck Sales. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our commercial transport fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: Diagnose and repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, including engine, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Estimate and Manage Costs: Accurately estimate parts and labor costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Possess a Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience in heavy-duty mechanics.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial transport systems.
